I love pupus (appetizers)! I’m usually asked to be the “pupu lady” for family potlucks. I got this recipe from my cousin Janet. Its a baked version of the Mexican Layer Dip and it has a lot of flavor! It has that added touch of Portuguese Sausage and hamburger under all those layers… yummy! Thanks Janet !

It was a recipe that I added to my collection of laminated recipe cards for 2005.
Note: You need to really drain the cooked meats and onions… otherwise it will be kinda liquidy when you first take it out the oven.

thanks lodee. yeah, folks enjoyed this … you can fry the meat stuff early and drain well… mine had a lot of liquid on the bottom ..but everyone still enjoyed it. i guess the sour cream and guacamole adds liquid too.
have a great superbowl sunday! don’t you need a day off afterwards??!!

Oh my gosh. This is like the ultimate Super Bowl Party dip! Portuguese Sausage AND hamburger? A meat-lovers dream!
The classic Tex-Mex 7-layer Dip is already one of my favorite dips, but this takes it to a whole nother level. Wow!
I just can’t fathom how Guacamole and Portuguese sausage would taste together, but I bet it’s sooooo goooood!
My favorite flavor component of the classic is the olives. I LOVE olives!

yeah … this is yummy. still trying to perfect it … it ends up with a lot of liquid on the bottome when it first comes out…though everyone still loves it. maybe it only bothers me…haha. thanks !
