A Sweet Dollop

phyllo tarts

When the mood strikes, I like to take the time to make a special dessert that is aim to please! These Phyllo Tarts look more complicated than it actually is. The ONLY tedious part is making those cups, which isn’t really bad at all. The trick is to work fast so as not to dry out the delicate sheet of phyllo dough.

The great part of doing this, is that you can make the cups in advance and store them in a airtight container. Then you can make the filling the night before you need it. The wonderful flavor that puzzles everyone when they take that first bite is the Guava Nectar Concentrate.

I got this recipe from my son’s babysitter a couple of decades ago …wow this is still a keeper. That’s why I included it in Da Original set of my laminated recipe cards.

I love these. Haven’t had the courage to attempt to make them. Tastes better when you make them anyway… and you can’t eat just one! Yum-yum.

I just love these, too! It’s soooooo light that you feel like you can eat about 10 of them in one sitting!! The phyllo dough part looks complicated to make and I agree with Susu that it tastes better when you make them anyway…..anything tastes better when YOU make it!!! I think chocolate pudding would taste really good with those phyllo dough tarts!
