Friends call me “Kitchen mama” because I love to cook and share my recipes with friends. After sampling some of my “grinds,” a friend jokingly called me “Kitchen Mama” and the name has stuck ever since.
It’s been a long time dream of mine to create a cookbook of my favorite recipes and friends have been urging me to do so for years. As much as I love to collect cookbooks, I didn’t want it to be just another cookbook amongst the dozens lining your shelves, so I began to think about creative alternatives to share my favorite concoctions.
Recipe magnets were a hit at various craft fairs in the past and I purchased quite a few. I loved the idea, but the print was too small for me to see comfortably without my glasses. (It must be that “over 40 syndrome” when the eyesight starts to go!) So, I tried to think of a way to make it more visible. Recipe cards allowed me more space to use bigger print and laminating them would keep them from getting soiled in the kitchen.
Once I decided on the cards, I decided to color code them to make it easier for me to select my card without flipping thru every recipe. Just narrow it down to the category and find your recipe of choice!
The recipes all tried and true, tested by the uncompromising taste buds of friends and family. I hope that you and your family will enjoy them as much as we do!
